Change

So now dxnixl and me are moving to Footscray, away from the white urban stronghold of Prahran and into the suburb of coloured people. I love this apartment to bits but being surrounded by bars/clubs and Chapel St. trash is starting to bite.

Good 2nd storey views, polished floorboards, large rooms, cheap rent. Everything that our current unit lacks. I've been downsizing on the number of pot plants in our garden; new unit can't take all the crap I've accumulated in one year. 'Consolidation', I call it. Pusscat seems less certain.

Moving has always been an issue for me; as a kid I've had to sleep in more beds than most people (yes you are allowed to extrapolate from there) so even this move will be tough. Selling my furniture on eBay will help me remove some of the Ikea crap I've bought to fill my room. I've thrown out two bags full of junk and there's still more to go.

Right now all I can think about is a chance to redecorate. Tord Boontje, anyone?
